The United States has seen many issues on workers compensation for many years since the implementation of workers compensation across United States. Prior to 1911 the question was should workers be compensated for work-related injuries.

This question arose from Europe, the ideal of workers compensation came from Europe in 1911 at the start of the 20th century. Wisconsin became the first state to implement worker's compensation laws and other states followed. Texas implemented it's first law in 1913.

Over the next few years Congress and the president pressured the courts to enforce worker compensation across the United States.

In 1917 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that states could legally require employers to provide workers compensation to injured workers. However due to high insurance costs and low benefit rates the Legislature was forced to look for change in the Workers Compensation system and it has become what we know today, a very complicated system.

Here we are at the start of the 21 century almost a hundred years from the start of worker compensation but yet some people believe we are back where we started.

Our main goal is to provide the best resources we can to our visitors so we decided to accept (negative or positive) real life workers compensation experiences from the public; including but not limited to injured workers and legal professionals.

We invite everyone with useful information to participate - what better way to provide helpful information than to hear from others who have experienced it.
