Department of Labor is design to protect the wages, health benefits,
retirement security, safety and health of America’s workforce and provide
information to America’s employers, workers, job seekers and retirees with clear
and easy way to access information on how to comply with federal employment
laws.
The Fair Department of Labor administers several employment programs to
assist both employees and employers. Career Centers established under the
Workforce Investment offer a variety of services for individuals seeking
employment, as well as resources for employers seeking workers. Visit the the

The Department of Labor's off of the workers compensation administers four major
disability compensation programs which provide wage replacement benefits, medical treatment,
vocational rehabilitation, and other benefits to federal workers or their dependents who are
injured at work or an occupational disease.
The Department of Labor only pertains to Federal employees and
agencies. Workers injured while employed by private companies, or by state and local
government agencies, should contact their state workers compensation board. The Department of Labor
does not handle workers' compensation claims relating to private employers.
